69th Republic Day Celebration
A contingent of 34 cadets of Sainik School Balachadi participated in Republic Day Programme of Jamnagar district held at Dhrol. They won the first position in March-Past Competition and brought laurels to the school.
Meanwhile the 69th Republic Day was celebrated at Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar with enthusiasm and fervor. The event commenced with laying the Wreath on the Shourya Stambh - the War Memorial of martyrs by the Chief Guest Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School Balachadi to pay homage to those who laid their lives for the safety and security of the great nation.
Indian Tricolour was hoisted by the Chief Guest followed by magnificent March-Past showcased by the cadets. On this occasion, Cadet Akash Ranjan and Cadet Shubham Singh delivered the speeches on Republic Day in English and Hindi respectively. A patriotic song was also presented by the Staff of the school. The tiny tots of Balniketan too did not give up a chance upon showing their patriotism by presenting patriotic song. Audience witnessed the wonderful display of Mass PT, Yoga, Aerobics and Dumbbells Drill performed by the cadets
On this auspicious occasion, an Inter House Drill Competition was also organised. All the Marching Contingents of Senior houses had shown their might in the field of bearing and Turnout, Marching, Saluting and Coordination. Finally Tagore house was declared as the winner. The Passing-Out Parade of 39 cadets of class XII of the school was also held at the school parade ground.
The Principal in his address emphasised on the sense of patriotism and belongingness towards the nation. Further he added that self development of every individual will directly contribute to the nation building. He said that the cadets should grow with wholesome personality maintaining the unity in diversity amongst them. He congratulated the cadets for the wonderful display of March-Past, PT display, Aerobics, Yoga, Patriotic Songs etc. He also motivated cadets to work hard to achieve their aim to join National Defence Academy and serve the nation.
The function ended with the distribution of sweets to cadets of Sainik School Balachadi and Tiny Tots of Balniketan by the Chief Guest.
