INTER HOUSE CULTURAL COMPETITION 2018-19 ORGANISED IN SAINIK SCHOOL BALACHADI, JAMNAGAR
Inter House Cultural Competition 2018-19 was organised in Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar recently. The school is not only honing the academic and physical skills of the cadets but also aesthetic talents. It provides the platform for the cadets to bring out their creative talents in all aspects.
Six senior houses participated in this competition. The cadets exhibited their talents and skills in the form of dances, skits, group songs etc. Over and above as a part of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, cadets through skits depicted the life of Great martyrs who sacrificed their life for the mother country. The cadets gave their best performance and mesmerized the audience.
It was a neck to neck competition where in Shivaji House and Angre House emerged out as the winner. Garuda House was adjudged as the runners up. In Junior Group, Nehru House was declared as the winner.
Prizes were also given in individual program categories. Best ‘Patriotic Song’ prize shared by Shivaji House and Garuda House. Best performance in ‘English Skit’ and ‘Hindi Skit’ were awarded to Shivaji House whereas the best ‘Master Stroke’ prize was won by Angre House.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest, Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal, Sainik School Balachadi said “the incorporation of cultural activities into the school syllabi gets the students involved in diverse interests, helps them to contribute, raises their self-esteem and above all provides them a platform to showcase their talents. School is nurturing cadets in right direction to make their dreams come true”. He also appreciated cadets and teachers for their efforts in putting up a wonderful show.
