77th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED IN SAINIK SCHOOL BALACHADI, JAMNAGAR

77th  Independence Day Celebration in Sainik School Balachadi, JamnagarSainik School Balachadi celebrated India’s Spirit of Freedom - 77 th  Independence

Day in its School campus on 15 Aug 2023. Col Shreyash Mehta, Principal, Sainik School Balachadi was the Chief Guest on this occasion. He laid wreath on the Shourya Stambh - the War Memorial of martyrs. The School Cadets presented Guard of Honour to him after that he hoisted the Tricolor followed by the National Anthem.


The event started with the welcome of the Chief Guest in the School Auditorium. Cadet Raman Chaudhary and Cadet Aryan Pandor delivered speeches in Hindi and

English respectively on the significance of Independence Day. Niyati Jadeja and Khushansh Kumar, students of Balniketan, Primary School too shared their views on this day. Melodious Patriotic song sung by staff members Mr Dharmik Jani,Mr Arun VR and Mr Maitrik Jani mesmerized the audience. Cadet Siddhant Khare of Class VI expressed his feelings on Independence Day through a Hindi poem ‘Tum Jan Gan Man Jo Gate Ho’. The diverse and rich heritage of our country was

well presented through a patriotic dance performed by the Cadets of Class VII and VIII.

On this occasion, the Chief Guest gave away the prizes, trophies and certificates to the Cadets who excelled in various competitions- Group Level Competition All India Sainik Schools National Games (AISSNG-2023) held at Sainik School Chandrapur, Maharashtra, Sarvadaya Sahodaya Saurashtra Volleyball Competition, Inter House English Essay Writing Competition and Inter House T-Shirt Painting Competition conducted in School on the occasion of celebrations of 76 years of India’s Independence.

The Chief Guest in his address wished everyone a very Happy 77 th Independence Day and appreciated the efforts put in by the Cadets and staff for the grand show and also congratulated all those who won the prizes. In his speech he shared the value of life through a story of balloon seller that is ‘What is important is not what you are? But what you are from inside?’ He also highlighted the deep meaning of the word ‘Integrity’ through another real life story of an auto rickshaw driver who returned a whopping amount of Rs. 1.9 crore to his legal owner.


The Principal avowed that the relation of anyone associated with the tricolor is beyond any word and is thicker than blood relation and stronger than any other relation in the world like the camaraderie seen on the battlefields. He concluded his speech with a message “Har Dil Tiranga”. To give the occasion an apt tribute the Cadets took pledge under the campaign ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ and the programme culminated with a School Song.
