SAINIK SCHOOL BALACHADI CELEBRATED 65TH SCHOOL RAISING DAY
Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar celebrated its 65th School Raising Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on 08 July 2026. The celebrations commenced with the Chief Guest, Cdr Hari Ram Poonia, Officiating Principal, Sainik School Balachadi, laying a wreath at the Shaurya Stambh - School War Memorial to pay homage to the brave martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.
The main function was held in the School Auditorium, where Mr Raghesh P.R., Head of the Department of Social Science, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the illustrious journey and remarkable achievements of the institution through an informative address. A specially prepared documentary depicting the rich history, traditions and legacy of Sainik School Balachadi captivated the audience and evoked a sense of pride among all present. The celebrations were further enlivened by a vibrant group dance performance by the Cadets of Class VI. Heartfelt video messages from distinguished alumni, former staff members and officers who had served the School added a nostalgic touch to the occasion.
Marking the significance of the day, Mr Girish Agrawal, an alumnus of Sainik School Balachadi, generously sponsored the school fee of a student from Balniketan Primary School, reflecting the enduring bond between the School and its alumni.

While addressing the gathering, Mr. Nainesh Patel, President of the Old Boys' Sainik School Association (OBSSA), extended his warm greetings and best wishes to all on the occasion of the 65th School Raising Day. In his address, he fondly reminisced about his memorable years at the School and shared valuable life experiences that shaped his personality and career. He encouraged the cadets to uphold the rich traditions and values of the institution and strive for excellence in all spheres of life.
In his address, Cdr Hari Ram Poonia, Offg Principal conveyed his warm greetings to the School fraternity on the occasion of the 65th School Raising Day. Paying rich tributes to the nation's martyrs, he highlighted that the holistic training imparted at Sainik School Balachadi nurtures problem-solving abilities, emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills among Cadets. He encouraged the Cadets to dream big, embrace challenges with confidence and uphold the values of discipline, integrity and patriotism throughout their lives.
Among the dignitaries present were Sqn Ldr Rakesh Tiwari, Vice Principal, Mr Nainesh Patel, President, Old Boys' Sainik School Association (OBSSA) and other members of the Association.
The celebrations concluded with a ceremonial cake-cutting followed by a Dinner Night in the Cadets' Mess, fostering a spirit of camaraderie, gratitude and pride as the School commemorated another milestone in its glorious legacy.
