SS Balachadi celebrates 150th Anniversary of the National Song “Vande Mataram”
SS Balachadi proudly celebrated the 150th anniversary of India’s National Song, “Vande Mataram,” with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event was attended by all staff members, officers, and students, who gathered to pay tribute to this timeless symbol of India’s unity and spirit.
The celebration began with a special address recalling the origin of “Vande Mataram,” written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay around 1875. The song, which inspired countless freedom fighters during India’s independence struggle, continues to remind citizens of the values of unity, courage, and love for the motherland.
On this momentous occasion, the cadets of Sainik School Balachadi proudly sang “Vande Mataram,” filling the atmosphere with patriotism and reverence for the nation. Their soulful rendition symbolized the spirit of discipline, dedication, and devotion that the song embodies.
During the event, the lyrics — “Sujalam, Sufalam, Shasyashyamalam, Mataram” — were recited, highlighting the beauty and richness of our nation. The gathering reflected on the song’s message to always respect and serve Mother India with dedication and pride.
