SS Balachadi, Jamnagar hosts the ‘Sahodaya Saurashtra Sports Carnival (Athletics) 20225-26

Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar hosted the ‘Sahodaya Saurashtra Inter School Athletic Championship 2025-26’ on 27 Sept 2025. It was a mega sports event where nine schools from Saurashtra region- Delhi Public School Jamnagar, Jay International School, JP Modi School Vasai, SDCCL Public School, Shree Saraswati Vidya Mandir English School, Lokpriya Providentia International School, Sanskaar International School, Nand Vidya  Niketan and the host school took part in all track and field events at the School Athletic ground. 

Nand Vidya Niketan clinched the overall Championship trophy whereas Sainik School Balachadi and Sanskaar International School secured second and third positions respectively.

Somya Kalariya and Mamta of Nand Vidya Niketan declared as ‘Best Athlete’ Under-17 Boys and Under-17 Girls category respectively. While in Under-14 Boys and Under-14 Girls category ‘Best Athlete’ award were given to Cadet Saurav Kumar of Sainik School Balachadi and Darshini Sarda of Nand Vidya Niketan respectively.

All the participants exhibited competitive spirit and true sportsmanship during the day long event and it provided a platform for participating staff and students to share their thoughts, knowledge, culture and best practices with one another.

Col Shreyash Mehta, Principal, Sainik School Balachadi gave away the trophy, certificates and medals to the winners. He appreciated the staff members for organising such a wonderful event successfully.

Administrative Officer Lt Cdr Hari Ram Poonia, Sqn Ldr Rakesh Tiwari, Vice Principal and staff members were present on this occasion.
