71ST REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION AT SAINIK SCHOOL BALACHADI JAMNAGAR
The 71st Republic Day was celebrated at Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar with enthusiasm and fervor. Indian Tricolour was unfurled by the Chief Guest Brig (Dr) Kiran Kumar Thacker (Retd), an alumnus of Sainik School Balachadi and National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla Pune followed by the National Anthem, magnificent March-Past was show cased by the cadets. Cadet Aman Pratap and Cdt Abhishek Raj expressed the importance and greatness of Republic Day in Hindi and English respectively. The school song was presented by the cadets of Sainik School Balachadi. The tiny tots of Balniketan presented a group dance full of patriotism on song ‘Desh rangilla, rangilla desh mera rangilla’.
On this auspicious occasion, an Inter House Drill Competition was also organized. All the Marching Contingents of Senior Houses shown their might in the field of bearing and Turnout, Marching, Saluting and Coordination. Sardar Patel House was declared as the winner.
The Chief Guest in his address emphasized on the sense of patriotism and belongingness towards the nation. Chief Guest said Sainik School Balachadi is not only producing Defence officers through NDA but also providing citizen who play very important role in society. He wished class XII cadets for their upcoming NDA exams and SSB interviews. He also motivated cadets to work hard with sincerity to achieve their aim to join National Defence Academy and serve the nation. The Chief Guest shared four successful mantras - Hard work, commitment, to follow the school motto ‘In Pursuit of Excellence’ and Honesty with the Cadets which can make Cadets successful person in life. He congratulated the cadets for the wonderful display of march-past and for well-coordinated programme.
The Passing-out Parade of class XII was also held on this occasion. The Chief Guest took the salute. The function ended with the distribution of sweets to Tiny Tots of Balniketan and cadets of Sainik School Balachadi by Mrs Sonia Singh, the first lady of the campus.
